Investigational Initiatives

Neoprobe’s investigational activities are currently focused on three particular developmental product initiatives: Lymphoseek, RIGScan® CR and Activated Cellular Therapy (ACT). Neoprobe believes each of these technology platforms offers exciting and promising treatment opportunities within their respective disease applications. A summary of each product initiative may be reviewed by clicking on the link at the left.

We are preparing to enter multi-center clinical trials for our two most advanced radiopharmaceutical agents, Lymphoseek and RIGScan CR.

In clinical trials to date—
  • Lymphoseek, a lymphatic tissue tracing agent, has demonstrated the ability to target lymphatic tissue in patients with breast and melanoma cancers. It has begun clinical evaluation in gastric and prostate cancers.
  • RIGScan® CR, a tumor-specific targeting agent, has alerted surgeons to the existence of additional cancerous tissue, undetectable by traditional diagnostic and intraoperative techniques, thereby enabling more effective colon cancer surgeries.

Currently, we manufacture and market gamma detection devices used to track the radiolabeled tracing and targeting agents. Our neo2000 device is considered a market leader and has a significant market share worldwide.

We are also commercializing two blood flow measurement devices through our wholly-owned subsidiary, Cardiosonix Ltd., that provide real-time hemodynamic information in a variety of medical settings.

Please note that the discussions of these technologies involve products that are under investigation and that may not yet have been cleared for marketing in your territory. Please refer to items 7 and 8 of the
