| Cardiosonix Blood Flow
Measurement Products Neoprobe, through our wholly-owned subsidiary, Cardiosonix Ltd., has developed the Quantix line of blood flow measurement products to be used for a variety of clinical needs, including: real-time monitoring, intra-operative quantification, non-invasive diagnostics, and the evaluation of blood flow. Cardiosonix’ blood flow measurement products employ the patented Doppler blood flow measurement technology & algorithms, which allows for real time angle-independent blood flow volume and velocity readings. The Quantix technology utilizes a special application of the Doppler method through simultaneous application of a combination of narrow beams with a known angle between them. Based on trigonometric and Doppler considerations, the angle of insonation can be obtained without the need to use complicated imaging systems. The Quantix technology permits the multiple sampling of the number of particles of blood passing through a vessel and a simultaneous calculation of vascular diameter giving the user an accurate measurement of the volume of total blood flow. |
